While there are many types of Dental Crowns available, Dr. Steve prefers Porcelain Ceramic dental crowns. If a tooth needs a crown, it is because its strength has been compromised due to trauma, decay or because of a root canal. We also do crowns for aesthetic reasons, but we still need it to be as strong as a natural tooth or perhaps stronger. 

Advances in dental technology have moved us away from porcelain layered over metal crowns. These often lead to gum discoloration and over time, began to chip and deteriorate.
